About Vertex Build Group

Built different.
By people who
knew better.

Marcus Elroy and Priya Nambiar left a top-5 national firm in 2009 with one idea: that a construction company could be rigorous, sustainable, and still finish on time. Fifteen years later, $2.4 billion says they were right.

The firm
behind
the steel.

Marcus and Priya didn't leave their old firm because they were unhappy. They left because they saw something the company couldn't change fast enough: the way large commercial construction firms treated precision as optional and client relationships as transactional. They believed there was a better way to run a job, and they were willing to bet everything on it.

Their first project was a 12,000 square foot medical office in North Dallas — modest by any measure. But it was delivered on schedule, under budget, and with a finish quality that had the owner sending them three referrals before the punchlist was even closed. That pattern repeated. Word spread. By 2012, Vertex had landed its first $10-million contract and grown to a team of 40, most of them hired directly rather than sourced through staffing agencies. That decision — to bring core talent in-house and build institutional knowledge — has defined the company ever since.

Today Vertex operates across 14 states, with offices in Dallas, Austin, and Houston. What hasn't changed is the operating philosophy: structured pre-construction, obsessive scheduling discipline, and a culture that treats every project as if the founders are still watching. In most cases, they are.

Mission

To deliver commercial construction that is on time, within scope, and built to last longer than the people who commissioned it.

Vision

To be the most trusted name in commercial construction across the American Southwest — not by size, but by reputation.
